One score. Five checks. Zero jargon.
The AI Readiness Check is a stocktake of how your business runs day to day, and where hours are quietly leaking out of it. Here's exactly what happens.
Five minutes. Three steps.
Tell us how the work flows
A few plain-English questions about the way a week actually runs: how quotes go out, how money comes in, where the admin piles up. Type your answer or tap an option, nothing technical, about five minutes.
Get your score
One honest number out of 100, built from the five checks below. It shows where the hours are leaking, where you're already sharp, and how you stack up against businesses like yours.
See your options
Your top three changes ranked by hours back per week. Which tools would do the job, roughly what they cost, and what order to move in. Set them up yourself, or have us do it as a separate service.
The five checks behind the score
Each one looks at a different place hours go missing. Twenty points each.
Tools
What you run (Xero, Tradify, Timely, spreadsheets) and whether they talk to each other or make you the courier between them.
20 pointsRepeat work
The stuff you do every week that looks exactly the same every week. Quoting, invoicing, rosters, reports. Prime territory for winning hours back.
20 pointsInformation
Where your knowledge lives. If prices, job history, and customer details are findable, AI can help. If they live in someone's head, that's the first fix.
20 pointsPeople
Who on the team is keen, who's stretched, and whether new tools actually get used after week two, or quietly die in a drawer.
20 pointsGuardrails
Customer data, privacy, and the things that should stay human. Knowing what not to automate is part of being ready.
20 pointsYour score
Add them up and you get one honest number out of 100, plus the three changes that move it (and your week) the most.
out of 100What lands in your inbox
Your score, out of 100
With the five checks broken out, so you can see exactly where you're strong and where the leaks are.
Your top three changes
Ranked by hours back per week. Each one named plainly: what it is, what it costs, how long to set up.
The hours on the table
A straight estimate of the time your week could get back. Most businesses we check have 4-7 hours sitting in busywork.
What to ignore
Just as important. The shiny tools that would waste your money, flagged so you don't have to wonder.
Fair questions
Do I need to know anything about AI?
No. The questions are about your business: how quotes go out, how invoices get paid, where the admin piles up. We handle the technical translation.
What's the difference between the free check and the Pro Assessment?
The free check is self-serve: you answer a few quick questions online and get your score and top three changes. The Pro Assessment puts a specialist on it: a 45-minute session, a proper look at your actual tools and workflows, and a written plan covering every fix, not just the top three.
Do you build the tools you recommend?
Not as part of the check or the assessment. Those tell you which tools will win your hours back, and the plan is yours to act on with anyone. If you'd like us to do the setup, configuration or automation development, those are separate services we can quote after the assessment.
Is this just going to tell me to buy software?
Often the top fix is switching on something you already pay for. We don't sell software and we don't take commissions, so the recommendation is just the recommendation.
Is the free check really free?
Yes. No card, no trial, no catch. It's how we show our thinking before you spend a dollar.
What happens to my answers?
They're used to build your score and report, and that's it. We don't sell your data, and we're happy to delete it on request.
My business is tiny. Is it worth it?
Smaller businesses usually have the most to gain, because the owner is doing the admin. If it's just you and a van, the check is built for exactly that.
Ready to know your odds?
Five minutes, a few questions, one honest number.
