Why it matters
Cin7 and Unleashed both connect to Shopify, and for many businesses that is enough. The trouble starts with bundles, more than one warehouse, or stock held back for trade orders. Then the website oversells, and someone spends the morning apologising.
Getting this right also stops the opposite problem: products showing as sold out online while there is plenty in the back.
How it works
- Stock levels are read from Cin7 or Unleashed on a short schedule.
- Your rules are applied: stock held for trade customers, bundles worked out from their parts, warehouses counted or not.
- Shopify is updated with what is actually available to sell online.
- Anything odd, like a negative stock level, is flagged rather than pushed through.
Where AI is used, and where it isn’t
- AI: None. Stock numbers need exact rules, not judgement.
- Plain rules: All of it: what is held back, how bundles are counted, and when something is flagged.
You approve anything a customer sees before the flow goes live, and the flow runs in your own accounts.
What changes day to day
Nobody touches Shopify stock by hand any more. When the warehouse receives or ships, the website follows within minutes. The odd flagged item gets a look instead of becoming a cancelled order.
This is for you if
- You oversell online and have to cancel or delay orders.
- Someone adjusts Shopify stock by hand.
- Bundles or a second warehouse don’t fit the standard connection.
Worth knowing
- If the built-in connection already covers your setup, use it. We will tell you if that is the case.
- Stock counts in Cin7 or Unleashed have to be right first. The sync copies what is there.
- This is a custom build, so it is quoted in writing before any work starts.
This is an illustrative example. It describes a flow we would build, not a client’s results. If you go ahead, we measure your own before and after.
